World Cup #3 - Leogang, Austria

Leogang is a new course on the World Cup Circuit so it was great to come to a place where I had no idea of what to expect. The practice went well; the track was technical, little steep in places and had some pedally bits. It rained pretty hard too so was quite a tough challenge in the end!

Unfortunately in my qualifying run, I crashed hard into a tree and couldn't continue to ride. The medics thought I had broken my rib but looks like it's just bad bruising and some stiff and very sore muscles so I will be fine!! Just so gutted I couldn't race! Unlucky number 13 board eh!

World Cup #2 Fort William

Fort William is not exactly the best track for me but it is a wicked course and I love riding it. I qualified in 16th place with an average run so was feeling good for finals.

The finals were awesome - the croud were out in force and it was great to have everyone cheering me on the way down. I worked hard and ended up 14th place. I also had the fastest speed trap with 60.240kph - only 10 Elite Men were faster than that! Overal, the weekend was great and considering last year I was 20th - getting a 14th place shows i'm improving fast. I'm feeling confident for World Cup #3 in Leogang and I'm going to work really hard to get close to, if not in, the top 10.

Thanks to Griff and Wayne from Trek for the support this weekend.
